Photo: Nicolas Fafard-TrudelGEEKS UNDERGROUND is a new 8 episode comedy web series that involves four geeks, a maniacal computer bent on world domination, and a girlfriend that wants nothing but to shake things up.
Andy (Shayne Devouges) comes back from three years of university to his home town with his girlfriend Nikki (Corie-Anne Gonyer) and decides to meet up with his old friends, Trevor (Samuel Chan) and Neil (Nico Racicot). Only when he gets back not all is well as they’ve replaced him with someone they call Silent Dennis (Marco Pennino). What happens when friendships are put to the test, adventures are had, bullies are faced, addictions take hold, girls come into the mix, and M.A.L. (voice by Andrew Searles) sits idly by planning his world domination?
Creator and Executive Producer Jonathan Starr came up with the idea of the show one day while daydreaming in class. The next day Jonathan bumped into another daydreamer, Howie Pun, and with their combined brain powers, they co-wrote the series. They recruited help in the form of Samuel Saulnier and Melissa Fuller, so thus the series was produced over the summer … and into the fall. Many long days of filming and plenty of Guru later, Geeks Underground premiered November 2008. Geeks Underground is a CUTV Co-Production.

He is currently a film student in the Communications Program at Concordia University. www.JonStarrFilms.com
Howie Pun
Sent from the future by SkyNet, Howie Pun was programmed to seek and destroy Sarah Connor– wait, no. Howie’s seen so many TV shows over the years it’s only natural, nay, logical he helped write a series. He blogs (infrequently) about the NBA over at his personal site: NBA Basketball & Other Unrelatedness. He is currently exploiting free resources in the film department “studying hard” in the film production department of the Communications Program at Concordia University. Feel free to check out his n00b-like skills in previous film endeavors over at: http://thehype.blip.tv

Howie (right) and Jonathan (left) debate how a certain joke should be delivered in a very civil manner.
